What does B grade stock mean?
There are a few reasons to label an item as B-Stock grade. A B-Stock product could be a factory second. That is to say, it possesses minor cosmetic blemishes, such as scuffs, discolouration, and other imperfections in the finish.
These products are lightly used, returns or repaired items that offer a 6 month manufacturer warranty. They maybe scratched slightly but more often than not they are in perfect condition, the product will say on the listing as per its actual condition, all sold items will still be fully functional.
Grade B products will be in a reasonable condition with marks and scratches noticeably visible to the user, including shiny keys and surfaces around the keyboard. They are refurbished products with signs of previous use, but the functionality remains the same as Grade A products.
99% of the units that come into graded are grade A/B, meaning you're basically getting a brand new product for half price or less! Grade A - as if the unit was brand new. Grade B - light scratching, small dents etc. Grade C/ GRX - previously used (but good condition) units.
A+, A, A- indicates excellent performance. B+, B, B- indicates good performance. C+, C, C- indicates satisfactory performance. D+, D, D- indicates less than satisfactory performance.
B-stock is genuine and authentic brand stock, usually created when a manufacturer has an instrument that has been on display at a trade show or previously loaned to an artist. Generally the item will be in perfect condition, but will have been unboxed before being put back in its original packaging.
Stocks are sorted based on the z-score of their revenue per share growth rate, from the most negative z-score to the most positive z-score and grouped into 10%, 20%, 40%, 20%, 10% buckets with F, D, C, B, and A grades respectively for growth.
B - is still a pretty good grade! This is an above-average score, between 80% and 89% C - this is a grade that rests right in the middle. C is anywhere between 70% and 79%

Refurbished grade B means that is has been used or "good" condition. The screen has most likely been replaced. There may be some light cosmetic damage on the case, such as scratches and scuff marks.
B-Grade beauties have mild cosmetic imperfections that DO NOT impact the board structure, performance, or longevity. B-Grades come with the full factory warranty.
What is the difference between B and C stocks?
Class A shares generally have more voting power and higher priority for dividends, while Class B shares are common shares with no preferential treatment. Class C shares can refer to shares given to employees or alternate share classes available to public investors, with varying restrictions and voting rights.
Investors generally should consider Class A shares (the initial sales charge alternative) if they expect to hold the investment over the long term. Class C shares (the level sales charge alternative) should generally be considered for shorter-term holding periods.
Grade B refurbished devices are in relatively good condition. Grade B refurbished laptops are considered fairly middle of the road amongst repaired devices. There may be minor scratches to the casing but the screen and speaker will be free from damage. The system hardware will be in good working order.
StockX also maintains a small number of B-Grades on our site. B-Grade is a mark/grade given to sneakers that have minor imperfections in manufacturing. You can determine if an item is B-Grade by reviewing the product page, as this will be specified within the product's title.
Letter Grade | Percentage | GPA |
---|---|---|
B | 80–89% | 3.0 |
C | 70–79% | 2.0 |
D | 60–69% | 1.0 |
F | 0–59% | 0.0 |
In the past, grade A was often considered the preferred grade by consumers because of its light maple flavor. Grade B was typically produced later in the season and had a darker, grittier color, thicker viscosity, increased minerals, and a more robust maple flavor.
A "B-Stock" is a product which has been returned by a customer within their 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee or replaced under guarantee and can no longer be sold as "A-Stock". These products are offered at a special, reduced price, are fully functional and come with a full 3 year warranty and 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee.
We never collect sales tax on behalf of our sellers, and only sell to buyers who have state issued reseller\'s certificates. Users in any state that has a sales tax must submit a reseller\'s certificate to be approved on B-Stock Supply.
What we mean by B-stock/Refurbished or Open Box/Demo (as are sometimes sold by us or authorized dealers) B-stock (or refurbished) refers to anything that has either left our warehouse and was returned, or is new and was marked as b-stock for cosmetic reasons.
The difference between Class A shares and Class B shares of a company's stock usually comes down to the number of voting rights assigned to the shareholder. Class A shareholders generally have more clout. Despite Class A shareholders almost always having more voting rights, this isn't actually a legal requirement.
Should you buy Class A or Class B stock?
Class A Shares are also a type of common stock that is issued by companies. These shares typically have full voting rights and are held by outside investors. Class A Shares are generally more valuable than Class B Shares, as they provide investors with greater voting power and a higher dividend payout.

Most classes here, including math classes, use either a ten-point scale (A = 90+, B=80-89, C=70-79, D=60-69, F=0-59) or something close to it. Here this is widely considered to be "common sense", so much so that I raised eyebrows when I questioned it.
