What does a stock B-stock mean?
A "B-Stock" is a product which has been returned by a customer within their 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee or replaced under guarantee and can no longer be sold as "A-Stock". These products are offered at a special, reduced price, are fully functional and come with a full 3 year warranty and 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee.
There are a few reasons to label an item as B-Stock grade. A B-Stock product could be a factory second. That is to say, it possesses minor cosmetic blemishes, such as scuffs, discolouration, and other imperfections in the finish.
B-Stock offers the world's leading auction platform for returned, excess, and other liquidation inventory.
B-Stock refers to items that were opened and returned, have a cosmetic blemish or imperfection (like a ding in the tolex of an amp or a scratch on the face of an effects pedal), or were used as demo units in a shop. These products are tested to manufacturer's specs and are guaranteed to function perfectly.
B-stock (or refurbished) refers to anything that has either left our warehouse and was returned, or is new and was marked as b-stock for cosmetic reasons. Sometimes this means the item was used, sometimes it wasn't, but all have been tested and reconditioned.
The Bottom Line. Class A and Class B shares differ in their availability, convertibility, and power as it relates to voting. One isn't necessarily better than the other, but Class A shares offer significant benefit in the event of a sale or when an outside force wants to obtain more voting power.
Class B mutual fund shares are seen to be a good investment if investors have less cash and a longer time horizon. To avoid the exit fee, an investor should typically remain in the fund for five to eight years.
We never collect sales tax on behalf of our sellers, and only sell to buyers who have state issued reseller\'s certificates. Users in any state that has a sales tax must submit a reseller\'s certificate to be approved on B-Stock Supply.
The investment reinforces B-Stock's 10-year history of profitable growth and will drive the expansion of its technology-based liquidation solution for retailers and manufacturers. "B-Stock is the clear leader in the online liquidation space having delivered massive value to a long list of global, blue-chip customers.
Class B shares offer a range of benefits to investors. They are often priced lower than their Class A counterparts, offer some level of voting rights, and can provide a stable dividend payment. Additionally, they can offer tax benefits and flexibility that are not available with other types of shares.
How do I bid on B-stock?
How do I bid? Once you are an approved buyer on B-Stock Events, you can go to any auction page and enter the highest amount that you are willing to pay. Enter the amount in the white box to the right of "My Maximum Bid". Below, you will see the minimum allowable bid amount.
Re: b-stock stuff on ebay and other places...
B-stock is often items that have been returned for one reason or another. Usually from a customer that didn't like it. Sometimes there was something wrong with it and it was repaired at the factory.
I can't guarantee that this applies to every company or seller, but usually B-stock just means almost-like-new products that can't be sold as new, eg. customer returns with opened boxes, or they could have some very minor cosmetic blemishes.
There are alternative options to Class B share redemption that may have different tax implications. For example, you may be able to sell your shares on the open market instead of redeeming them directly from the company. This could result in a different tax liability, depending on the timing and price of the sale.
What does B-Stock mean on an amplifier, source unit, or speaker? Do factory refurbished units sound as good as new? "B-Stock" means the amplifier, source unit, or speaker has been "factory refurbished".
All b-stock products are fully covered by the manufacturers standard warranty. Demo Products have been used by SFM sales reps or staff as demo units in tradeshows or trainings. Demo products have remained in our possession and have never been sold to a customer.
Berkshire Hathaway Class A is the company's original stock offering, known for its stratospheric price per share. Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares, first issued in 1996, are more modestly priced and have a correspondingly modest share of equity value in the company.
B shares also have voting rights in the company, but their dividends are worked out based on a lower rate. C shareholders have the same rate of dividends as A shareholders, but have no voting rights at all.
Class B mutual fund shares, by comparison, have no paying fees. Investors buying Class B shares are charged a fee when their shares are sold. The fee for holding the shares can be deferred five years or longer. Additionally, if held long-term, Class B shares may convert to Class A shares.
Warren Buffett owns a total of 276 Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares and 227,416 Class A shares. 3 Regarded as one of the world's most successful investors, Buffett is the company's chair and CEO.
Are Class B shares taxable?
In general, investors who hold Class B shares for more than a year will be subject to long-term capital gains tax rates, which are generally lower than short-term rates.
However, you may buy and sell Class B shares through the Computershare Direct Stock Purchase and Dividend Reinvestment Plan. Computershare will execute your order at the market price.
B-Stock is the largest network of B2B liquidation marketplaces connecting returned, overstock and new-condition inventory from top retailers and manufacturers - including nine of the top 10 U.S. retailers - directly to business buyers.
B-Stock is an affiliate of Amazon. The Amazon Tax Exemption Program (ATEP) supports tax exempt purchases for sales sold by Amazon.com, its affiliates, and participating independent third-party sellers.
Wire transfers are the primary payment method between buyers and sellers across B-Stock's network of marketplaces.
