What happened to Dr. Zara? ›

Dr. Zara has a major meltdown when she decides to kill Everest with her snowmobile. But in return, she accidentally hits the ice, causing the mountain to come down on her and the goon leader to their deaths.

Zara is the main antagonist of DreamWorks' 37th full-length animated feature film Abominable. She is an Irish-American zoologist-turned-poacher who, alongside Mr. Burnish, wants to capture the titular yeti named Everest to make a fortune out of their discovery. She was voiced by Sarah Paulson, who also played Dr.

Yi's father's personality, mostly, stays unknown, as we know only few things about him: he loved playing violin, taking pictures and travelling and he died about 1 month before the events of Abominable(that means, he died in May 2019, but the reason of his death is unknown).

The movie follows 16-year-old Yi (voiced by Chloe Bennet) who lives with her Mom and her Nai-Nai (Grandmother) in an apartment in Shanghai.

After much debate regarding the welfare of their new baby leaving the safety of the hospital, they return home. After discovering that Daniel has had sex with Cherry, Zara ends the relationship with him, and leaves with Joe.

When he returns to the Mill, he ultimately confronts her and punches Sid. Zara tries for some time to convince Daniel to give her another chance. He finally agrees and moves back in but their relationship is strained and they decide to split up.

Abominable is an animated children's movie which actually has nothing to do with the South China Sea. It's about a Chinese girl from Shanghai who discovers a yeti on her roof, strikes up a friendship with him, and - against all odds - manages to take him back to Mount Everest.

According to the DreamWorks wikia, Jin and Yi are hinted to be romantically interested in each other. Moments between them in the film, like when Jin gave Yi a flower helps to back up this claim.
