Three and a f*cking half hours, and yet, it held my attention, lol.
An autobiographical movie about a beloved trans p*rnstar, Casey Kisses, A True Story showcases her hardships about sexual orientation, relationships, hom*ophobia, and eventually, transitioning. That main storyline is genuinely fascinating to me, more so than the p*rnographic content interwoven (only two scenes got me.....aroused, I guess, lol), and this is credit to p*rnstar director, Joanna Angel, and Kisses co-writing the script.
I can excuse the moments of cheesy acting for sincerity and heart.

I feel like most people might think it's kinda pointless to watch a p*rnographic movie with all the actual p*rn scenes removed, but I think the story here was interesting enough to carry the movie.
Casey's life story of being in a motorcycle club and then following what happened when she came out and transitioned made for a compelling watch.

This is one of the films I’ve been dying to watch and I would’ve added this entry into my diary but Letterboxd took their time to add adult films more slower than anything else.
This film swept the AVN awards last January for Grand Reel, Best Screenplay, Best Soundtrack, Best Supporting Actor (Tommy Pistol), Best Supporting Actress (Kira Noir), and Best Thespian – Trans/X. While Pistol won Male Performer Of The Year and Casey Kisses herself won Trans Performer Of The Year and Trans Cam Star. I couldn’t believe it when I heard the results that late Saturday night.
This was one of first modern biopics made in adult film history, along with Tushy.com’s Influence star showcase with Elsa Jean…
